Great News the Application Deadline for Paid-on-Call firefighter has been extended!The application deadline has been extended to Friday March 29th! There's more time to consider if you would like the opportunity to work with us! If your on the fence or just don't know if becoming a firefighter is something you can do, reach out to us, we would love to talk to you more about the oppurtunity to serve your community with the Carlinville Fire Protection District. Carlinville Fire Protection District is excited to announce the application process for 2024! The Fire Protection District is looking for individuals who are wanting to be a part of our team. Is there a passion in you to help your community? Is there a desire in you to challenge yourself? Carlinville Fire Protection District received a new frontline engine today, a 2021 Toyne Custom Pumper. The new engine will be replacing the the former 2003 American LaFrance as the first due engine for CFPD and will be assigned the fire department identification of 1210. Eight new firefighters will be officially joining the ranks of CFPD.
The new firefighters were hired 9/11/2018 and have spent the past year in the CFPD Probationary Training Course. During their probation period they finished course work in basic firefighting knowledge, fire science principles and firefighter skill sets. They were sworn in on Sunday in front of friends and family at the Carlinville Fire Protection Districts Probationary Firefighter Promotional Ceremony and are now Firefighters for the CFPD. Their names in alphabetical order are: Nic Emery, Kat Emmons, Matt Fenton, Anthony Goodwin, Chris Hopper, Dusty Hunt, Josh McMurray, and Killian Mitchell. |
